Agares rides a crocodile with a goshawk on his fist and teaches languages. Bune gathers spirits at sepulchres while promising wealth and eloquence. Dantalion carries a book and knows the thoughts of men and women. Among the twenty-three dukes, these encounters share a rank but lead into different realms of knowledge, influence and danger. Amdusias adds a stranger spectacle: instrumental music and trees bending at command.
