Site information
Privacy
Luminary Oddities uses a private owner-only studio and limited anonymous interaction counts to operate the public journal. The public site does not offer visitor accounts, inquiry forms, or on-site checkout.

Journal interaction counts
The journal keeps aggregate module views, carousel movement and listing-link clicks without a visitor name, account or IP address in the application database. These older event counts are separate from optional visit analytics and are deleted after ninety days.
Owner administration
The private Site Studio requires an authenticated, authorized owner account. Its audit trail records the owner account, editorial action, affected revision, and time.
External shops and social sources
Etsy and social links open only after you choose them. Those services apply their own privacy practices. Luminary Oddities does not currently process payments or collect checkout details on this site.
Future services
This notice will be expanded before visitor accounts, contact forms, embedded third-party feeds, or on-site commerce services are introduced.
Website analytics and your choices
Luminary Oddities, Mila’s homepage, the Botanical Encyclopedia and Mila’s Shop use first-party analytics to measure public-page visits, broad traffic-source categories, device-size groups, active viewing time, outgoing links and shop-journey events. Page queries and fragments, account pages, order details, names, email addresses and IP addresses are not saved in this analytics database. Checkout records only an anonymous start signal, not form or payment details. We do not use these analytics for advertising or share visitor identifiers with advertising partners.
First-party cookies share your analytics choice across these websites for 180 days. An optional random browser identifier lasts 30 days; a visit identifier expires after 30 minutes without measured activity. The server stores hashes of these random identifiers, retains events for 90 days and displays aggregate reports only to authorized administrators. Analytics are not linked to your account, cart or orders.
For our U.S. audience, these analytics are enabled by default unless you opt out. Outside the U.S., or when the request location is unavailable, browser-identifier analytics remain off until you choose Allow analytics. The hosting edge supplies a country signal for this choice; we do not store that country or the IP address in analytics. Use the controls on this Privacy page, or the Privacy section of your Mila’s Shop account, at any time to turn analytics off; this removes the optional browser and visit cookies and stops future measurement. Your browser’s Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track preference is respected. Necessary shop and account processing continues separately under Mila’s Shop privacy notice.
