The Book of Solomon
The Gift of Wisdom
As Solomon lies down to sleep, he asks for wisdom. An angel answers him. Another introduction to the Greater Key places the revelation beneath the trees, in the light of a blazing star. [1][2]

The angel before sleep
One night, Solomon invoked the divine name IAH as he lay down to sleep. He prayed for wisdom, and as his eyes began to close the angel Homadiel appeared. The angel spoke courteously: Solomon had asked for understanding to perform justice, choosing it over long life, riches and the lives of his enemies. His prayer would be answered with a wise and understanding heart.
