Goetia 1904
Botis first appears as an ugly viper. At the magician’s command he takes human shape, with great teeth, two horns and a bright, sharp sword in his hand. [1]
His office concerns answers and settlement: he tells of the past and what is to come and reconciles friends and foes. The Goetia gives him both titles, president and earl, and sixty legions. [1]
Scot records Otis as another name and includes present events as well as past and future. His armed human form, two titles, sixty legions and reconciliation office closely match the later account. The 1904 summary of time names only past and future. [1][2]
