Amon can kindle a feud or settle one. The same marquis first appears as a fire-breathing wolf with a serpent’s tail, then takes a human shape with a raven’s head and, in one reading, a dog’s teeth. [1]
The Goetia describes Amon as stern and powerful. His first form is a wolf with a serpent’s tail, vomiting flames from its mouth. At the magician’s command he becomes a man with dog’s teeth in a raven-like head; the notice also allows the simpler form of a man with a raven’s head. [1]
He declares things past and to come, raises feuds and reconciles controversies between friends. Forty legions are placed beneath this great marquis. [1]
Favour before feuds
Scot also names Aamon and preserves the wolf, serpent tail, flames, dog’s teeth and raven-like head. His office includes obtaining favour and reconciling friends and enemies, alongside past and future knowledge. The 1904 notice expressly adds the raising of feuds and speaks of reconciliation between friends. [1][2]
