Read the species account
A large yellow upper-hindwing patch lies between the central and outer spots, distinguishing wilemani from subnubila in the specialist comparison. [2]
Taiwanese eggs are yellow, conical and ridged. Larvae have black heads, yellow-green bodies and white hairs. The dark-brown pupa has a curved anterior projection and one pair of outward-curving dorsal projections. [3]
Larvae feed communally on young mistletoe leaves, including Loranthus delavayi and Taxillus lonicerifolius. [3]
The illustrations preserve the yellow dorsal hindwing patch between the central and outer spots.
Keep the enclosure away from direct sunlight, dampness and large changes in temperature or humidity. Handle the frame, clean only its exterior, and inspect for loose fragments, moisture and pests. Retain the specimen’s original labels and follow the enclosure maker’s care instructions. [4]
