Discovery, towers and stormy waters

The main printed appearance is a lion riding a black horse and holding a viper. A footnote reports lion-headed forms in some codices. Viné, also named Vinea, reveals hidden things, witches, wizards and matters past, present and future. [1]

At command he builds towers, overthrows great stone walls and makes waters rough with storms. The Goetia titles him both king and earl and gives him thirty-six legions. [1]

The uncounted earlier king

Scot’s Vine has no legion total in his notice. His answering clause names witches but not the later explicit addition of wizards, and his description simply says a lion on a black horse. [1][2]
