The 3rd Pentacle of Venus

Showing the third Venus pentacle is said to attract love. Its angel Monachiel has a stated Venusian timing, while two point-touching triangles hold names inside a verse of blessing and multiplication. [1]

The third Venus pentacle attracts love when shown to a person. Its angel is Monachiel, whose invocation is assigned to the day and hour of Venus, at one o’clock or at eight. [1]

Names within the touching triangles

Two triangular outlines meet at a single point: the upper one points down and the lower one points up. Hebrew lettering lies along their bases, inside them and beside their meeting point. A small six-pointed star stands above the outer verse band. [1]

Mathers reads IHVH, Adonai, Ruach, Achides, Ægalmiel, Monachiel and Degaliel in the figure. The two divine names IHVH and Adonai flank the touching point; other groups fill the upper and lower fields. [1]

Be fruitful and multiply

The circumference uses Genesis 1:28. Mathers’s quotation gives Elohim’s blessing and the command to “Be ye fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it.” The preceding biblical verse describes the creation of humankind, male and female; the blessing continues with dominion over living creatures.
