A flaming fire takes human shape as Amy. He teaches astrology and the liberal sciences, gives familiars and reveals treasure guarded by spirits; an earlier account also attaches a rejected hope of heavenly return. [1]
Amy first appears as flaming fire, then becomes a man after a while. The great president makes people wonderfully knowledgeable in astrology and all the liberal sciences, provides good familiars and discloses treasure kept by spirits. Thirty-six legions are under him; Avnas is another name. [1]
The earlier hope of return
Scot places Amy partly among the Angels and partly among the Powers. He also reports a hope of returning to the seventh throne after 1,200 years, then calls it incredible. Neither those former orders nor the hope appears in Amy’s brief 1904 notice. [1][2]
